Have you considered your ICO obligations as well as GDPR?

Data Relish Ltd are now registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, otherwise known as the ICO. The ICO is the UK's independent body set up to uphold information rights.

As we move forward into GDPR, we believed it was important that we should be 'drinking our own champagne'. By registering with the ICO, it means that you've carefully considered your obligations and how to comply, including protecting personal information and providing access to official information.

This includes considering important aspects of data such as the Data Protection Act. We also have assisted in obtaining data for Freedom of Information requests as part of our consultancy work for government bodies.

As data privacy concerns increase, and the UK moves into GDPR legislation, it's incredibly important for organisations to consider their use of data.

Further, this also applies to consultancies too, and you might want to re-examine their attitudes towards data if they are not ICO registered. You want them to care about these issues as much as you do.

If you have any questions about GDPR, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Data Relish are setting up strategic partnerships so that you can obtain your appropriate certificates, such as the Cyber Essentials Scheme. At Data Relish, we are starting that process for ourselves, so we understand it's importance. Please email us at hello@datarelish.com to find out more, and we can put you in touch with the right people. Whilst you are considering your data, why not have a Business Intelligence Healthcheck at the same time?
